Verdant ("we", "us") operates a monthly-giving platform that splits one donation across vetted charities. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, and authentication identifiers when you sign up (including via Google).
- Donation data: monthly amount, allocation preferences across categories, and subscription status.
- Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: basic logs (IP, browser) used to secure and improve the service.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to process donations, allocate funds to charities according to your sliders, send you the monthly impact newsletter, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors that make the service work: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider, and the charities you fund (aggregated donation amounts only — never your contact details unless you opt in).
5. Retention
We keep account and donation records for as long as your account is active and afterwards as required by tax and accounting law. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email us at hello@verdant.app to exercise these rights.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database.

We'll post any updates on this page and notify subscribers by email when changes are material.
